Sony Xperia XA1 Plus:Back Up & Restore (Guide)

Back Up & Restore App Data:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Scroll to “Personal”
3. Tap “Backup & reset”
4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “All contacts”
3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for the backup
4. Tick the “Contacts” check box
5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: You can restore contacts the next time you sign in with the backup account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

1. Connect the Android device to your computer via USB
2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Copy and transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC
5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
5. Copy and transfer the backup files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port.
